Let kids be kids

I never liked the show Toddlers & Tiaras. Most of the moms clearly want to live through their daughters...their very young daughters. It's sad and even a bit disturbing. As if young girls don't have enough pressure to look perfect all the time.


Here's a short clip from the show, where a mom forces her 5 year old daughter to have her eye brows waxed! Ouch!!



If you thought that video was disturbing, this one below is absolutely disgusting! A mom injects her 8-year old daughter with botox for a beauty pageant:


Whatever happened to letting kids be just kids?

    I hve seen the show a couple of times in the past...so I know the moms can b a bit extreme...but botox! wow...i feel srry for those kids

    OMG....

    I REFUSE to watch that show. I think it's degrading and wrong. Kids should not have to go through that at all. It should be illegal for the parents to be so obsessive and controlling

    Sick, just sick. It's enough what we deal with as adults with the media bombarding us with images of what we "should" look like and act like. I used to play in the dirt as a kid & so does every other normal kid. Let them play & go get ur head examined lady - that's what I would say to her. I don't watch that show, it's just creepy to see like 4 yr olds with sooo much makeup as if they were 30. *shudders*
